Founders Story
The AZUR Legacy Collection Hotel is a remarkable addition to Vancouver’s hospitality scene, with a historical connection to the renowned Executive Hotels & Resorts brand. The Executive Inn hotels were first established in 1986 by Farida and Noordin Sayani, starting with their meticulously planned and designed Richmond location and soon extending to Downtown and Metro Vancouver. The Executive Inn name was rolled into Executive Group Corporation, founded by their son Salim, in 1998. Eventually, it went public on the TSE as Executive Hotels and Resorts and grew to over 20 locations. Executive Group Corp was privatized by Salim in 2007, and the now-diversified real estate company continues to experience remarkable growth in its hotel division on both national and international levels, with diversified operations in real estate development, property management, and construction fields.
Building upon a legacy of excellence, the design and ambiance of the AZUR Legacy Collection Hotel have been carefully curated to perfection by Farida in collaboration with her daughter, Sofia.
