Asian Arts & Culture Society presented the RBC Dumpling Tasting Soirée in Richmond in partnership with Tourism Richmond to a full-house of dumpling and sake lovers. Guests had the opportunity to sample an array of delectable dumplings from various cultures, paired with premium sakes from local and international producers. The event also featured live traditional Asian arts performances, as well as a special tasting of backdraft bourbonstyle whisky. Overall, it was a delightful evening celebrating the diverse flavors and traditions of Asian cuisine. In addition to the culinary experiences, the event also highlighted the innovative products of Peco, a leading company in plastic transformation. A showcase of Peco’s innovative plastic transformation was featured, demonstrating their commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge technology. The successful evening left guests with a greater appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship behind Asian cuisine, as well as a newfound awareness of Peco’s innovative plastic transformation.
Following the success of the first two BC Dumpling Festivals at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam in 2022 & 2023, in 2024 the Society aims to bring together friends, colleagues, community members, and businesses from different cultures to share in culinary excellence, live entertainment, and a delightful evening out.
The RBC Dumpling Tasting Soirée showcased an enhanced and unique samplings from across a variety of cultures. With the belief that food is the common thread of celebration in all cultures and communities. The evening presented an assortment of dumpling food vendors – cheers to plant-based Momo Joy & K-IPSE, alcohol pairings – Lulu Island, Kuzuna Sake, a dumpling tasting competition, live entertainment – Dani Camacho, Max Zipursky & Shawn Chen on Fazioli, and a silent and live auction (Butter Studios, Fairmont Waterfront, Janice Wu, Vancouver Whitecaps, Westjet, Pacific Yacht Catering, and more) with partial proceeds going to the Richmond Hospital Foundation.
