Vancouver finally has a fashion night to call its own, and The Front Row at Oakridge Park arrived with all the glamour we have been craving. The development turned its North Atrium into a gleaming runway for an evening that blended a century of style, the newest luxury collections, and a headline performance that had the entire room singing along.

Joe Zee Hosts the Evening
Who better to guide the night than Joe Zee? The Canadian-raised fashion editor and stylist has spent more than three decades shaping editorial pages, styling celebrities, and telling brand stories on the international stage. His connection to Oakridge Park runs deeper than one show, too. He now leads The Style Office, a personal styling service that pairs shoppers with a vetted community of stylists across more than 100 brands. He was first invited to style VIP guests for the evening, and his role soon grew into hosting the entire presentation.

How Shoppers Earned Their Seats
Here is where it gets fun. Through Shop Your Way to the Front Row, guests earned their invitations by shopping in person at participating boutiques in the weeks before the show. Spending $10,000 secured a Tier C seat, while $20,000 and $30,000 opened up the higher tiers. The $50,000 threshold delivered two Tier A seats plus a group meet-and-greet. More than 40 boutiques hosted clients, and all 612 seats were spoken for by shoppers, homeowners, media, and content creators.

A Century of Style on the Runway
Themed Fashion Through the Ages, the show paid tribute to the fashion presentations once staged at the former Oakridge Centre. Stylist and fashion director Zeina Esmail curated silhouettes that made each era instantly recognizable, from Jazz Age beaded fringe and voluminous postwar couture to Space Age metallics, bohemian ease, sculpted power shoulders, and layered maximalism. Vintage luxury stole the spotlight, with archival pieces from Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and Alexander McQueen, among other celebrated houses.
The finale fast-forwarded to the present, showcasing new-season looks from Oakridge Park boutiques including Brunello Cucinelli, Harry Rosen, Max Mara, and Valentino. The best part? Those looks were waiting in the boutiques just steps from the runway, ready for guests to claim the moment the lights came up.

John Legend at the Piano
Within minutes of the final walk, the runway became a concert stage, and John Legend sat down at the piano for an intimate set of vocals and keys. The highlight came when the whole room joined him for All of Me, a singalong that sealed the evening. Legend also greeted guests and posed for photos at the VIP reception, then raised a toast at the after-party at Time Out Market Vancouver.

The Front Row Returns in 2027
Consider this your early alert. The Front Row will return every year with a fresh theme, and planning for 2027 is already under way. Guests have been asking about invitations since the night wrapped earlier this month, so start curating your wardrobe now, because next year’s front row is one seat you will not want to miss.
