The Swiss luxury watchmaker, Longines, has launched a collection of watches that emphasizes its elegant stripped-down designs and innovative materials. The company, founded by Auguste Agassiz in 1832 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland is still based in the charming Swiss village to this day. Known across the ages by its winged hourglass logo, the brand continues to evolve its offerings as the demand for minimalistic, sustainable and environmentally friendly luxury goods increases.

The Elegant Collection

This new collection offers a subtle balance between their conspicuously simple aesthetic and their high-tech movement. These pieces proudly sport a strap in vegetable material – a first for the winged-hourglass brand. These new pieces offer a clever contrast between the brand’s stripped-down aesthetic and the new-generation movement that drives them.

A Modern Take On Classic

Longines has completely rethought this collection to pay tribute to the elegance that is the brand’s DNA. The Roman numerals and all other elements that compose the dial have been redesigned to offer a pure contemporary design.

This calibre (L891.5) developed exclusively for the brand is fitted with a balance-spring made of silicon, a lightweight material resistant to corrosion, ordinary temperature fluctuations and magnetic fields, making possible the offer of a 5-year warranty on all the pieces in the collection.

The modern elegance of these new watches is also combined with straps in vegetable leather alternative in taupe or black. The exterior of the loop is composed of an innovative material made from recycled apple waste and the interior is made of recycled corn rubber.

Innovative and long-lasting, this vegetable material has the same qualities as previous straps with respect to how it feels to the touch, how comfortable it is to wear, and how good it looks, and offers a similar lifespan. There is also the option to wear the watches on a stainless steel bracelet, including a bicolour version with the case and bracelet combining steel and rose gold plate.

Available in 34.50 mm and 39.00 mm diameters, the collection offers a selection of dials: matte white with painted Roman numerals, brushed silver with diamond hour markers, or white mother-of-pearl with diamond hour markers.

Effortlessly combining genres, The Longines Elegant Collection celebrates pure minimalist elegance and sustainable innovation while still honouring the brand’s watchmaking tradition. The collection features clean lines, simple designs, and innovative materials that reflect Longines’ commitment to both timeless style and modern environmental consciousness. Embracing the ethos of sustainable living, the Elegant Collection draws inspiration from nature and the art of farmtotable cannabis infusions, resulting in timepieces that are not only visually stunning but also environmentally responsible. With a focus on both form and function, these watches are the perfect choice for individuals who value both style and sustainability in their timepieces.
