In the heart of Vancouver’s storied Shaughnessy neighbourhood, Michelle and Jason exchanged vows in an unforgettable celebration that captured the very essence of who they are: sophisticated, authentic, and profoundly in love.

Their journey began in Los Angeles, where they first met as coworkers and quickly discovered a shared spark that would grow into a once-in-a-lifetime love. Just four months after their first date, Jason proposed in the otherworldly landscape of Amangiri, Utah. There, surrounded by ancient canyons—a symbol of enduring devotion—he asked Michelle to spend forever with him in a moment that was private, heartfelt, and entirely theirs.

A HISTORIC SETTING WITH PERSONAL MEANING

Hycroft Manor was an easy choice for the couple. Michelle had grown up nearby, and her mother was once a member of the estate. The manor’s grand architecture and rich history created the perfect canvas for a celebration that balanced timeless elegance with a touch of modern refinement. From the sweeping entrance florals to the garden cocktail hour and romantic reception, every space was thoughtfully transformed to feel both elevated and personal.

Paradise Events orchestrated the design, layering classic white blooms outdoors and warm blush, cream, and champagne tones indoors. A 15-foot floral installation and soaring draped ceilings added drama, while a custom monogram graced everything from menus to gifts.

THE BRIDE’S MODERN ROMANCE

Michelle’s bridal style was the very definition of quiet luxury. For the ceremony, she wore the ethereal Fernanda gown by Vera Wang, paired with a Valentino veil edged in delicate lace. A Bvlgari Serpenti Viper necklace and bracelet in 18k white gold with pavé diamonds completed her luminous look.

For the reception, she changed into a white Valentino Crepe Couture midi dress adorned with sculptural rose details. Later, she surprised guests by slipping into a short, puffy white mini dress—playful and chic—for the first dance and afterparty. Her hair, worn down in soft waves, and glowing minimal makeup allowed her natural beauty to shine.

Jason chose a custom tuxedo from Sarai Bespoke, engraved inside with their initials and wedding date—a personal detail that spoke to their shared story. He paired it with a classic black bow tie and polished John Robb shoes. For the first dance, he unbuttoned his jacket, and later loosened his bow tie and let his suspenders fall in a relaxed nod to the evening’s celebratory spirit.

The wedding party looked equally refined: bridesmaids in flowing sage green gowns, groomsmen accented with matching ties and pocket squares.

A HEARTFELT GUEST EXPERIENCE

From the moment guests arrived, they were welcomed with thoughtful touches: valet parking, signature cocktails, and the sounds of a live guitarist in the garden. Dinner featured an exquisite four-course meal with specially sourced wines, curated by a sommelier who later hosted a post-dinner tasting. As the evening turned cool, blankets were offered to keep guests comfortable under the stars.

At the reception, a sleek photobooth and a lively DJ set the tone for a night of celebration. Guests took home personalized Thomas Haas chocolates, and a few lucky winners of the dinner games received custom Diptyque candles and specialty teas—a nod to the couple’s love of refined details.

A MOMENT THAT WAS THEIRS ALONE

When Michelle and Jason stepped onto the dance floor for their first dance, time seemed to pause. They had envisioned this moment as relaxed and personal, a chance to simply be together in the midst of the festivities. As Jason unbuttoned his jacket and Michelle twirled in her playful mini dress, it was clear this was not just an elegant event—it was an expression of their shared joy, humor, and deep connection.

A CELEBRATION ROOTED IN MEANING

Though the wedding was impeccably styled and rich with unforgettable experiences, at its heart was the couple’s unwavering commitment to authenticity. “It was never about putting on a show,” Michelle shared. “It was about creating something that felt genuine—something that would reflect who we are, not just as partners, but as best friends.”

From their first meeting in Los Angeles to that quiet proposal in Utah, and finally to this luminous day in Vancouver, Michelle and Jason have written a love story defined by trust, laughter, and a shared sense of wonder. Their wedding was not just a beautiful event; it was a testament to the life they are building—rooted in love, elevated by elegance, and always, always true to themselves.
