The Coast Mountains rise directly behind the table at Araxi’s Longtable Dinner, held each summer at North Arm Farm in Pemberton, where rows of white linen stretch across an open field beneath wide, unobstructed sky. Before the first course arrived, guests wandered the property, posing on an old wooden swing framed by ivy, while a live band tuned up beneath a tented corner of the farm.

Few venues in British Columbia offer this combination: snow-dusted peaks on one side, a working farm on the other, and a table set for hundreds in between.

A Farm-to-Table Tradition
Araxi built its reputation as an early pioneer of farm-to-table dining in Whistler, and that legacy earned the restaurant Tripadvisor’s No. 1 Restaurant in Whistler for 2025 and a place among Canada’s top ten fine dining destinations. Culinary Director James Walt‘s seasonal menus carry that same philosophy into the field. For the Longtable Dinner, the kitchen relocated entirely to the farm, preparing courses just steps from where guests were seated and drawing on produce harvested within metres of the table.

An Evening of Courses and Conversation
Each course arrived paired with British Columbia wines chosen to highlight the province’s growing reputation, the same pairing program that has kept Araxi on Wine Spectator’s ‘Best Of’ Award of Excellence list every year since 2013. A live band played through the meal, and members of the culinary team moved easily between tables, answering questions about ingredients and pairings and giving the evening the feel of a community gathering rather than a formal affair.

A Table Built on Reputation
That sense of ease comes from experience. Araxi’s kitchen holds a 2026 DIRONA Award of Excellence and took Silver for Wine Program Excellence at the 2025 Vancouver International Wine Festival, the kind of record that shapes an evening like this one long before the first glass is poured. The Longtable Dinner is where that reputation meets the field it grew from.
