The past couple of months have given Canadian whisky fans plenty to celebrate, and as a team that tracks every Glenfiddich activation closely, we can say this season stood out.
In May, Glenfiddich and Aston Martin Formula One™ Team returned to Montreal for a second year of partnership at the Formula 1 Lenovo Grand Prix du Canada, and this time, the brand introduced BEYOND, a program built around storytelling and hospitality that extended far past the racetrack.
With National Scotch Day having landed last month, it feels like the right moment to look back on a season that gave Glenfiddich fans so much to savour.

A Legacy Worth Toasting
Glenfiddich remains the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch, and the distillery is still run by the fifth generation of the Grant-Gordon family, one of the few remaining family-owned and operated names in the category.
William Grant & Sons, founded in 1887, continues to distill Glenfiddich alongside The Balvenie, Grant’s, and several other well-known spirits brands, staying true to the traditional production techniques established by founder William Grant while still pushing the category forward.

A Weekend Across Montreal
The Grand Prix weekend opened with Glenfiddich: Beyond the Track, an invite-only dinner at Bar George hosted by Canadian National Brand Ambassador Jamie Johnson, whom we have been supporting throughout her appointment.
Guests were welcomed into a room dressed in teal and dark green, sipped signature cocktails including the Speyside Spritz and the Warehouse & Whisky Sour, and moved through a four-course tasting menu by Executive Chef Kevin Ramasawmy, with each course paired with a different Glenfiddich expression: the 14 Year Old, 15 Year Old, 16 Year Old, and 18 Year Old. Former Aston Martin Formula One™ Team driver Pedro de la Rosa made a special appearance, offering guests a rare opportunity to connect with one of the most experienced F1 drivers of all time.

From there, the celebration carried across the city. Aston Martin and BOSS co-hosted an evening at Grand Quay Tower for more than four hundred guests, where Glenfiddich anchored a tenth-floor lounge with tastings and canapes.
The programming also reached the Aston Martin Formula One™ Team VIP Hospitality Suite above the Team Garages, complete with a Glenfiddich pop-up bar, pit lane walks, and track tours led by Johnson. Later in May, five of Montreal’s most sought-after venues, Bar George, Vargas Steakhouse and Sushi, Sofitel, Cloakroom Bar, and Yama, poured the same partnership-inspired cocktail menu for the public.

The Expressions Worth Knowing
Glenfiddich 12 Year Old is a true classic and the perfect gift for anyone who deserves a formal introduction to single malt Scotch whisky, or who loves a tried-and-true classic. With its signature fresh pear and subtle oak notes, this smooth and approachable expression is ideal for those who enjoy a light, easy-drinking dram, whether neat, on the rocks, or in a classic cocktail such as a scotch and soda with lemon.
Glenfiddich 15 Year Old is crafted using Glenfiddich’s pioneering Solera Vat technique, resulting in a beautifully complex whisky that exemplifies the Grant family’s tradition of innovation. With layers of sherry oak, marzipan, cinnamon, and warm spice, this expression is a favourite for many at the Glenfiddich distillery, and it makes the perfect gift for anyone who appreciates family tradition and a rich, evolving flavour profile in every sip.
Glenfiddich 16 Year Old Aston Martin Formula One™ Team Limited Edition was crafted in celebration of the iconic partnership between Glenfiddich and Aston Martin Formula One™ Team, celebrating precision and innovation both in whisky making and on the racetrack. Matured in American oak casks, it offers rich, sweet notes of maple syrup, ginger, and creamy biscuits, wrapped in a smooth, elegant profile, and stands out as a gift for anyone who appreciates scotch whisky, racing, and collector’s items.
Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21 Year Old is a gift for anyone who deserves more than the expected. Crafted for special moments, this exceptional single malt is finished in Caribbean rum casks, delivering vibrant notes of ginger, fig, lime, and toffee. Rich, refined, and unmistakably unique, it is a luxurious way to surprise someone with something extraordinary.

From the intimacy of Bar George to the energy above the pit lane, Montreal proved to be the ideal city for this partnership to unfold, and a fitting lead-up to raising a glass on National Scotch Day.
