Luxury brand Louis Vuitton has completed an expansion and renovation to its flagship ‘Maison’ at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in the city’s downtown core. Measuring in as the largest Louis Vuitton in Canada, it features the brand’s most updated design and selection.
The two-floor boutique features an expansive selection of goods from the luxury brand’s metiers, including the highly desired Objets Nomades pieces, connected objects, ready-to-wear for men and women, fragrances, jewelry and accessories, iconic Tambour watches, and hard-sided luggage.
An essential aspect and a powerful lure for aficionados is the customization services provided by an on-site artisan who undertakes hot-stamping on select goods and full-time engraving on Maison’s perfumes and colognes.
Trained in Paris to work specifically on Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram material, this artisan is also available at the boutique to create bespoke hand-painted art on its historic hard-sided trunks.
The updated design of the boutique includes a masterpiece of carpentry, a circular staircase in wood and other materials. Women’s apparel, bags, footwear, and accessories are displayed on the main floor, with men’s wear and Objets Nomades on the second level.
The exclusive Objets Nomade collection includes a large-scale and customizable Marcel Wanders woven Diamond Screen and a divine modular green Bombaco sofa by Brazil’s Studio Campana.
The footwear section is curated for West Coast tastes and includes the house’s iconic oversized basketball sneakers, clogs, and sandals.
The boutique’s interior also features Canadian artists such as Montreal artist Heidi Spector‘s colourful striped resin piece on Russian birch wood, Indigenous artist Scott Suem‘s three-dimensional geometric piece, an oversized painting for a curved wall by Italian artist Isadora Capraro, an amber-coloured Helene de Saint Lager coffee table, and a Henri Bursztyn chandelier.
