Oakridge Park has a new anchor, and it wears green and gold. Global Watch Company has opened its second Rolex boutique in western Canada, a 390 square metre space built for a city that has long understood the value of quiet luxury done with confidence rather than volume.
For the person who tracks their collection the way others track their portfolios, this is the kind of opening worth clearing an afternoon for. The details reward that attention, from the architecture down to the smallest fitting.

A DECADE IN THE MAKING
Ten years ago, Global Watch Company introduced Canada to its first dedicated Rolex boutique, also in Vancouver. Sassan Pourfar, founder and CEO of the company, frames this second location as a continuation rather than a departure.
It is a deepening of a relationship the city has clearly earned. The timing, arriving alongside Oakridge Park’s broader transformation, positions the boutique at the centre of where West Side commerce and culture are headed next.

MATERIALS THAT MATTER
Walk the floor and the references are deliberate. The travertine-clad exterior takes its cue from the fluted bezel found on select Classic Rolex models.
The Verde Alpi marble in the reception area carries an illuminated veining that calls to mind open water, a fitting nod for a brand so closely tied to diving and exploration. Its presence sets the tone for everything that follows.
American walnut anchors the woodwork throughout, paired with seating in green velvet and richly textured fabric. Showcases lined in a matte, woven textile and finished with bronze trim hold the collection itself, giving each timepiece the kind of presentation a serious buyer expects.

A LOUNGE FOR CONVERSATION
Beyond the retail floor sits a lounge built for the longer, unhurried side of a purchase. Anchored by a bar crafted from American walnut and brown Emperador marble, the space is designed for the informal exchange between client and ambassador.
This is where the conversation about a movement, a reference number, or a piece’s history often matters as much as the transaction itself. It is a space built for people who take their time.
A custom stucco installation depicting the Vancouver skyline runs through the space. It grounds the boutique firmly in its city, rather than treating it as an interchangeable outpost of the brand.

SERVICE ON THE UPPER LEVEL
Practicality has not been overlooked. Oakridge Park’s upper level houses a dedicated after-sales service area, staffed by Rolex-certified watchmakers authorized to carry out servicing on the brand’s timepieces.
For collectors who understand that ownership is ongoing rather than a single moment of purchase, this detail carries real weight. It is the kind of infrastructure that separates a boutique from a mere storefront.

THE NEXT CHAPTER
Global Watch Company built its reputation on precision, first as a repair specialist and later as an authorized retailer. That history is visible in how carefully this boutique has been assembled.
The opening signals confidence in Vancouver’s appetite for the highest tier of Swiss watchmaking, and in a West Side neighbourhood that continues to redefine what luxury retail in this city looks like. It is a fitting close to a decade that began with a single boutique and grand ambitions.
