Art’G, the Rio de Janeiro house behind the Velvet Gold finish, has wrapped a design expedition across Western Canada, closing its journey in Vancouver after stops in Toronto and Montreal. Led by designer Márcio Granatowicz and commercial director Henrique Cristiano, the expedition set out to translate over four decades of Brazilian goldsmithing into a collection shaped by Canadian landscape and light.
Vancouver anchored the western leg of the tour, and its influence surfaces most directly in the Cherry Blossom Line, a series inspired by the city’s spring bloom. Each piece renders the geometric delicacy of the blossom in hand-sculpted 18K gold, built using the same brushed matte technique that first earned the house international attention.

CRAFT MEETS LANDSCAPE
The wider Contemporary Royalty collection extends that dialogue between two design traditions. The Maple Heritage Line reworks Canada’s most recognizable symbol into sculptural gold compositions, while the Emerald Lake Exclusivity Line pairs solid gold discs with certified Brazilian emeralds, a pairing the house frames as a meeting point between two countries’ natural resources. That line remains limited to ten authorized retailers in Brazil.

For Granatowicz, the Vancouver stop closed a loop that began at Fazenda União, where the collection was first unveiled to a board of brand ambassadors. Every piece, he has said, is built to be worn and inherited rather than simply displayed, a philosophy the house calls Eternal Heritage.
The Canadian expedition also builds on a strong year for the designer, who was named a finalist for Designer of the Year at the Inhorgenta Awards in Munich. With the Vancouver leg complete, Art’G continues to position Contemporary Royalty as proof that Brazilian craftsmanship can carry a genuine cross-cultural narrative, one shaped by place as much as by technique.
