Hosted by a duo of strong passionate entrepreneurs, The Modern Holiday event at the Paradox Hotel promised to celebrate the pillars of the ‘Modern Day Woman’ with an event that emphasized fashion, beauty, wellness, and lifestyle.
Meagan Elieff and Meghan Fialkoff are the women behind the brand ‘The Modern Day Wife’ and who create lifestyle events throughout North America with a focus on providing a hub for women who aspire to do it all. They thrive on creating space for women to be able to connect, grow their careers, and build strong families, social lives, and foster relationships.
The MDW has been building their community since 2019, when it launched in Vancouver, and keeps members connected through in-person events, virtual events, social networking, and an exclusive membership called ‘The Vault.’
By creating upscale events, like the most recent in Vancouver, the duo aims to inspire innovation through glamorous yet educational events. They curate speakers, co-hosts, and local vendors (Exhibit Optical, Elate Cosmetics, Cappelleria Bertacchi, and more) from the community who are experts in their fields and give them a platform to share information and provide tangible resources.
Emceed by Brittany Michalchuk (YVR Entrepreneurs Club) with MRC (Medical Rejuvenation Centre) as Title Sponsor, attendees were offered four levels of tickets from General Admission to an impressive VIP Pre-Party + IT Box package and everything from Beauty Tutorials and Pop-up Shopping to Speakers Panels, a Fashion Show, a Celebrity Panel that included Kaitlyn Bristowe (Bachelorette, Dancing with the Stars) and Erin Treloar (Raw Beauty Co), and many photo walls to create lasting memories of the evening.
Aside from the informative, thought-provoking, and fun panels, the fashion show was exceptional with local retailers Turnabout Luxury Resale, Ahblo, Maska, and Diane’s Lingerie standing out. It was very exciting to see an inclusive runway (Stranger Agency) showcasing such diverse talent and offerings.
Throughout the evening, guests were able to meet and greet their favourite local influencers as they mingled around. Spotted were Karin Bohn (House of Bohn, Restaurants on the Edge), Randall Fabulista, Erin Leigh, Jan Van Vianen, Kevin Chiang, Michelle Connor, and Ana Allen.
