The Sartorial Shop hosted ‘Negroni Night,’ a remarkable showcase of luxury Italian craftsmanship at the Cappelleria Bertacchi Showroom in Gastown, Vancouver. Co-presented by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West (ICCCW), the event featured a special guest appearance by Mario Bemer, the renowned Florentine shoemaker, making his debut in Canada.
Attendees were treated to an evening immersed in Italian elegance, starting with Mario Bemer’s exclusive handmade shoe collection. Known for his dedication to the art of shoemaking, Bemer personally shared insights into his Goodyear hand-welted process and his unwavering commitment to timeless craftsmanship. His passion and mastery were palpable as he discussed his philosophy: “I am an artisan, not a brand,” and demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the world’s finest shoemakers.
The event also showcased Cappelleria Bertacchi’s latest collection of luxury fall and winter hats, direct from Siena, Italy. The Sartorial Shop unveiled Canada’s first look at the Florentine Cut suit and jacket, handmade in Italy, along with exclusive limited-edition fabrics from Loro Piana, completing the trifecta of artisanal luxury.
Zahir Rajani, CEO of The Sartorial Shop, expressed his excitement at hosting Bemer, stating, “Mario is one of the last remaining old-world craftsmen, and his work perfectly complements our Florentine cut collection. Pairing these stunning suits with the hats from Cappelleria Bertacchi and Mario’s handmade shoes has created something truly extraordinary.”
The evening was a celebration of tradition, artistry, and style, leaving attendees inspired by the enduring elegance of Italian design.
