Kasia has always believed in entrepreneurship. Growing up in a small Saskatchewan town, she and her siblings often dreamed up “businesses,” from selling lemonade to running their own version of Santa’s Workshop. These early ventures sparked the entrepreneurial spirit that would shape her life. Even as a child, she enjoyed solving problems, bringing ideas to life, and building connections.

One of her earliest ventures involved selling toys door-to-door with her siblings and as soon as she was old enough to work, Kasia embraced every opportunity available, from babysitting and delivering newspapers to running lemonade stands and launching small businesses. While people often commented on her work ethic, her motivation went beyond earning money. She found joy in the creative process and the sense of accomplishment that came with each endeavour.

Education also played a central role in shaping her identity. Disliking the idea of being judged by appearance, Kasia aspired to be recognized for her intelligence, wit, and depth. She wanted to be someone who could confidently engage in any conversation and stand out as one of the most interesting people in the room. This drive led her to embrace learning as a lifelong passion, constantly striving to grow into a curious and well-rounded individual. That commitment to self-improvement continues to influence her life today.

Venturing Out into the World

Although Kasia had many friends and was part of the “popular” crowd, her happiest moments were spent alone, creating. As a child, she lost herself for hours, building ideas, writing stories, and dreaming of a life beyond her small town. Inspired by Carrie Bradshaw’s independence on Sex and the City, Kasia imagined living in New York City, modelling, and living on her own terms.

At 14, Kasia won a model search, but her mother insisted she finish high school before travelling. She focused on her studies while pursuing local modelling opportunities, preparing for the future she envisioned.

After graduation, Kasia moved to New York, began modelling professionally, and started building the life she had dreamed of. Modelling took her to New York, Miami, and Toronto, teaching her invaluable lessons in branding, presentation, and hustle—skills that shaped her future ventures and laid the foundation for everything that followed.

A True Entrepreneur

As the founder of Kasi Bamboo, ZHI Records, Mystic Meditations, and most recently Bloom, Kasia shares, “In my business, I’ve embraced bold and intentional steps to bring my passions to life. With Kasi Bamboo, I introduced sustainable essentials like bamboo face masks during the pandemic. I also trademarked my artist name, KASIA, and launched ZHI Records, blending music with healing frequencies. Music, spirituality, and sound healing remain central to everything I do, weaving purpose and creativity into every project.”

In Conversation with Kasia

What motivates you to dedicate your time and energy to your pursuits, and how have your personal experiences shaped your desire to make a lasting, positive impact on the world?

“Everything I do is driven by a desire to leave the world better than I found it. For decades, I have devoted myself to the study of spirituality, academics, and music, building on a lifetime of learning and experience. It has been an honour to now share this knowledge through platforms and spaces that genuinely support and uplift others.”

The wellness industry has grown significantly in recent years, but it has its flaws. How do you view the current state of the industry, and what motivates you to offer something real and meaningful in a space that can sometimes prioritize quick profits over genuine care?

“The wellness industry is not perfect. There are people in it for a quick profit and others who take advantage of those who are vulnerable. Nothing makes me more upset. I have always felt like I am on a mission to do things differently, to offer something real and meaningful. The fact that doors keep opening in this direction makes me think I am exactly where I need to be.”

Music seems to be a central part of your life and creative expression. How does music serve as a personal connection for you, and how do you channel this energy through your work with ZHI Records and as KASIA?

“Music, for me, is deeply personal. It is how I talk to God. It is my connection to the divine and the constant thread in my life. Through ZHI Records and KASIA, I get to share that connection with others. It is not just about sound—it is about emotion, energy, and meaning.”

2025 is a Year of Growth

The next two quarters are focused on growth and refinement across everything Kasia has built. For Bloom, she plans to expand the platform with new workshops and courses to deepen its content and reach, making healing more accessible globally. The year also includes an exciting series of retreats designed to help participants connect with themselves and the world around them. In April, Kasia will host a retreat in Joshua Tree, a serene desert escape perfect for deep healing and evolution. Later in the year, she will lead retreats in Egypt and Mexico, each designed to integrate sound healing, shamanic practices and sacred exploration in unique and inspiring settings.

Kasia reflects, “On December 9th, I launched Bloom—a virtual platform that brings the heart of Mystic Meditations online. Bloom offers sound healing, meditation, certification courses, and personal growth workshops, all accessible from anywhere in the world. It is the next step in creating meaningful, sustainable wellness experiences.”

On the retail side, Kasi Bamboo will evolve with plans to introduce new wellness products and elevate the brand’s presence as a go-to for meditation clothing and sound healing essentials.

In parallel, Kasia’s music work remains a distinct yet integral part of her creative journey. As KASIA, she is focusing on new music production and live performances, while ZHI Records continues to grow as a hub for ethereal house and healing sounds.

“At the heart of it all, my goal is to create something real. I want to help people connect with themselves, find purpose, and feel supported on their path. This is more than a business to me—it is a mission, and I am so grateful to share it with the world. Everyone just needs to know that they are worth nothing less than everything.”
