The launch party for Regal Milano felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable, setting the tone for what guests can now experience as the boutique is officially open to the public. We spent the evening mingling with fellow guests from the menswear community, media, and invited VIPs, while enjoying a relaxed spread of appetizers, bubbles, and red wine.
A Polaroid station added a playful element, capturing moments throughout the night, and thoughtful details such as take-home floral arrangements and gift bags, complete with a beautifully designed desktop day planner and pen, made the evening feel personal and celebratory.
Now open to the public, Regal Milano officially opened its doors on December 17th, 2025, bringing a fresh approach to bespoke Italian tailoring to Gastown. Located at 28 Water Street, the family-owned luxury boutique introduces world-renowned Italian textiles, refined craftsmanship, and timeless European fashion for both men’s wear and women’s wear.
Regal Milano is the newest venture from owner and founder Shiv Chawla, a Paris Fashion Week participant who also operates two established luxury and bridal boutiques in Surrey, BC — Shiv Chawla Bespoke Atelier and Paras Fashions. His experience across international fashion stages and the Canadian luxury market is evident throughout the studio.
Inside, guests can explore a curated collection of custom men’s wear, women’s wear, fine footwear, accessories, and luxury attire, each defined by precise cuts, elevated fabrics, and meticulous artistry. With experienced stylists guiding the process, clients can create fully custom, one-of-a-kind pieces using iconic Italian fashion mills including Holland and Sherry, Scabal, Loro Piana, and Ermenegildo Zegna, among others.
As the holiday season unfolds, Regal Milano invites Vancouverites to visit them in historic Gastown, discover the boutique in person, and begin planning their 2026 wardrobe — whether for formal occasions, elevated everyday wear, or a wedding wardrobe designed with intention and impeccable Italian craftsmanship.
