Nearly 200 women walked into The Vancouver Club on March 31, and the room did not need a stage call to come alive. The Founders Lounge was already mid-conversation before the programming began — the kind that skips small talk and moves directly into what matters.
Brought to Vancouver through a collaboration between Sinclair Creative Agency Inc. (SCA) and PARO Canada, the gathering was more than a closing chapter of a cross-country initiative. It marked the continued evolution of a national ecosystem intentionally designed to support, fund, and elevate women entrepreneurs — and in Vancouver, it found a fitting and resonant finale.

A National Vision Brought to Life
At the heart of the Self-Made Breakfast Tour is a clear and focused mandate: to close the gaps that continue to exist in funding, mentorship, and visibility for women-led businesses. SCA, known for its award-winning work in event production, virtual programming, and culturally relevant brand storytelling, has built a reputation for creating experiences that extend beyond marketing into meaningful impact.
Through a heart-centred approach, SCA has designed platforms that prioritize community as a growth driver. The Self-Made Breakfast Tour is a direct reflection of that philosophy — an initiative that has traveled across Canada, creating localized yet interconnected spaces for women to learn, collaborate, and scale.
With PARO Canada as the presenting partner, the tour is anchored in a well-established framework of financial empowerment. PARO‘s peer-lending model and Circle of Support system have long supported women in accessing capital and building sustainable enterprises. Together, the collaboration represents a powerful alignment between creative execution and economic advocacy.

Designing Access Through Partnership
A defining strength of the tour lies in its ecosystem of partners. Organizations such as American Express, CIBC Business Banking, Intuit QuickBooks, and 99designs by Vista contributed to an environment where access is not limited by financial barriers.
Through sponsored tickets and curated programming, the initiative ensures broader participation — particularly for early-stage founders and newcomers who often face systemic challenges in entering entrepreneurial spaces. This model reflects a shift toward inclusive design, where equity is embedded into the structure of the experience itself.
Beyond sponsorship, these partners bring expertise, tools, and networks into the room, transforming conversations into tangible opportunities.

Inside the Vancouver Experience
The Vancouver stop unfolded as a carefully orchestrated journey. The Welcome Reception set the tone within the Founders Lounge, where small business showcases, partner activations, and professional headshots created immediate value and engagement.
As the main stage programming began, co-hosts Anna Sinclair and Melissa Cook framed the day with intention. Sessions such as “Letter To My Future Self,” powered by Writeway, encouraged reflection and forward planning — bridging mindset with action.
Panel discussions anchored the day’s insights. “Money in Motion” featured leaders including Cynthia Sanlian of CIBC Business Banking, alongside founders Aisha Yang of Herbaland Naturals and Kelsey Irving of Birch Babe. Their perspectives highlighted the importance of financial transparency, self-investment, and values-driven scaling.
The second panel, “Building to Scale,” expanded on this narrative with voices like Miranda Lievers, Co-Founder of Thinkific, Roisin Collins of Olly Canada, and Andrea McDougald of Writeway. The discussion explored the intersection of vision, operational discipline, and purpose-led marketing — offering a nuanced understanding of sustainable growth.
The experience flowed into curated networking, brunch, and a keynote by Rosalind Lockyer, CEO of PARO Canada. Her address reinforced the organization’s mission — centering financial independence and collective resilience as pillars of long-term success.
Interactive roundtables and the Learning Lounge further elevated the experience, creating spaces for direct engagement between founders and advisors. These moments transformed the event into an active ecosystem rather than a passive conference.

A Full-Circle Connection with PARO
For those within the PARO Circle Up community, the event carried a deeper emotional and professional significance. Being part of this network offers ongoing access to mentorship, funding pathways, and peer support — elements that were visibly amplified throughout the day.
Attending the Vancouver stop felt like a full-circle moment. The values experienced within the Circle — collaboration, empowerment, and shared growth — were reflected at scale. It reinforced the broader vision PARO continues to champion: building an economy where women are equally resourced, supported, and positioned to succeed.
That alignment between vision and execution created a sense of continuity — where participation extends beyond a single event into a long-term journey.

Shaping What Comes Next
As the Self-Made Breakfast Tour concludes its journey across Canada, its impact is measured not only in attendance, but in the networks it has activated and the barriers it has helped dismantle.
A significant acknowledgment is owed to Sinclair Creative Agency Inc. for conceptualizing and executing a platform that seamlessly merges creativity with purpose. Their ability to design experiences that build community, amplify reach, and drive meaningful impact speaks to a deeper understanding of what modern entrepreneurship requires.
The Vancouver gathering demonstrated that when intention meets collaboration, and when access is prioritized, the results extend far beyond a single room.
In a rapidly evolving business landscape, initiatives like the Self-Made Breakfast Tour offer a clear blueprint — one rooted in inclusion, powered by partnership, and sustained by community.
