Hey Beauties!
If there is one Vancouver address I have been quietly obsessed with lately, it is a discreet little studio just off South Granville, where the treatment menu reads less like a spa list and more like a love letter to your lymphatic system. I am talking about Studio Sette, the brainchild of Breanna Laubach, and I need to tell you why this one is different.

Breanna is not a founder who stumbled into wellness. She is a mother of three, a longtime student of the world’s best spas, and someone who genuinely rearranged her own health philosophy around one discovery: lymphatic drainage. What began as a personal revelation during her time in California turned into certifications in Brazilian lymphatic drainage and Colombian wood tool therapy, and eventually, mastery of the icoone and Ballancer Pro technology that now anchors every treatment.

The Name Says It All
Sette means seven in Italian, a nod to the seven major lymph node regions and pathways in the body, and it doubles as a wink toward reset, which is exactly what this space is built to deliver. Step inside and the design does the talking, soft earthy tones, Mediterranean-inspired warmth, and a level of intention behind every detail that makes it clear Breanna built this studio the way she wants her clients to feel: rebalanced, unburdened, and completely taken care of.

Why I Wanted This Interview
Studio Sette has quickly built one of the most loyal followings I have seen in this city, with clients returning weekly and a retention rate that speaks for itself. So naturally, I sat down with Breanna to get into the philosophy, the science, and the standard behind it all, straight from the founder herself. Keep reading, because this conversation is a good one.
The Sit-down with Breanna
Most people have heard the word “lymphatic,” but few understand what the system actually does. What is happening inside the body that makes this system worth paying attention to?
“The lymphatic system is one of the body’s circulatory systems, but unlike the cardiovascular system it has no pump. It moves best, through muscle contraction, breathing, and movement. It’s made up of vessels, lymph, and between 600-800 nodes, and it’s a major part of your immune system. Its job is collection. Lymph is a clear, protein-rich fluid that travels through the vessels picking up cellular waste, extra fluid, and metabolic byproducts from your tissues, then carries it all to the nodes to be filtered before your body eliminates it. Think of it as your body’s garbage disposal. Because there’s no pump it’s slow by design, so things like movement, hydration, and lymphatic treatments help it keep up. When it’s working well, you’re supporting your immune system and your detox pathways at the same time. That’s really the whole case for paying attention to it. It plays into your immunity, your energy, and your long-term health.”
Why does a system the body manages on its own need outside support at all?
“Because managing on its own doesn’t mean managing well. There’s no pump, so the system is sluggish to begin with, and most of what we do day to day slows it down further. Sitting for hours. Stress. Not drinking enough water. Your body isn’t failing at this job, it’s just under-resourced for the demands of a modern life. Giving it a little outside encouragement through movement, hydration, and dedicated lymphatic work isn’t correcting something broken. It’s closing that gap. And people feel it directly: less puffiness, more energy, a body that feels lighter instead of weighed down.”
Studio Sette is built around the icoone and Ballancer Pro, technology most readers have never encountered. What does this approach do differently than a traditional massage?
“Studio Sette came out of my own travels. I’d been trying pretty much every traditional and tech-forward lymphatic modality I could find, and the tech-forward ones were what stuck with me. I loved how science-backed and precise they were. They increase lymph flow, flush out the system and any extra water weight, and leave you with this de-puffed, almost weightless feeling. They also break up lactic acid, oxygenate the tissue, and work the connective tissue and fascia, and that’s just a few of the extra benefits of the tech forward options. We’re built around a modern approach, but we still love a good traditional session, and manual work is something we offer too. It really comes down to personal preference. If you ask me, a bit of both is the sweet spot.”
Walk us through a first visit, from the moment someone arrives to the moment they leave. What should a new client expect?
“You walk into a space that was designed with every sense in mind, somewhere to exhale, reset, and rebalance. We’re a private studio, so you’re not hearing anyone else’s footsteps or conversations, and that lets guests drop into a much deeper sense of relaxation. Your service provider greets you at the door and brings you into the studio that’s yours for the session. From there we go over what you’ve booked and walk through what to expect. We get a lot of first-timers to lymphatic detox, and we love that.
If you’ve booked a tech-forward session, you get a compression bodysuit for the appointment. It’s a mild, grade-one compression that helps increase circulation and prepares the body before treatment even starts. It’s a fun photo op moment too.
If you’ve booked the Reset, which uses our signature icoone technology, your provider uses the handpieces to glide over your body through a series of programs built to support the lymphatic system. We’re currently the only studio in BC with the icoone, so it’s unique to us. It’s a dreamy session, honestly hard to describe until you’ve tried it. The machine itself is French-designed, Italian-made, medical-grade equipment, and its design considers the body as a whole system rather than treating areas in isolation.
If you’ve booked the Recover, which uses the Ballancer Pro, it feels like a tight hug or a weighted blanket, full 360-degree compression. That suit was designed and manufactured in Germany, originally for lymphedema patients. The sessions are as deeply relaxing and they are effective.”
What do clients typically notice, in how they look and how they feel, after committing to the process rather than a single visit?
“It’s a pretty individual experience. What you’re doing outside the studio, your lifestyle, your habits, all of it plays a role. Most people feel deep relaxation during the session itself, a real reset for the nervous system, and that sense of weightlessness right after. Because we’re flushing out excess water weight, most people notice de-puffing and some silhouette shaping, and lymphatic work is known for boosting energy and clearing brain fog. With consistency people also tend to notice better sleep, less bloating, and brighter skin. That’s the downstream effect of the body clearing waste more efficiently. It compounds: the more regularly you support the system, the better it performs on its own.”
One Last Thing
If you take nothing else from this conversation, take this: the lymphatic system is not a trend, it is infrastructure. There is no pump and no shortcut, just consistent support that pays you back in energy, clarity, and skin that looks like it has been sleeping eight hours a night even when it has not. Breanna made that case better than any spa brochure ever could, and she did it without a single ounce of fluff.
What struck me most is how deliberately Studio Sette was built. This is not a founder chasing a wellness buzzword. This is someone who tested the modalities herself and sourced the equipment from France, Italy, and Germany, building a studio where BC’s only icoone technology lives alongside a private, sensory-first experience.

Do Not Skip the Boutique
Before you go, a stop at the Boutique is non-negotiable. Every product on the shelf shares the same lymphatic focus as the treatments themselves, think teas, tonics, compression pieces, and topicals from a roster of largely female-founded brands. Nearly everything is lymphatic-safe, and most of it is pregnancy-safe as well. My pick to bring home is Sette Soak, the studio’s own detox bath crystal blend. The Epsom salts are drawn from a remote, ancient European deposit prized for its purity, then combined with six essential oils for detoxification and relaxation. Consider it your homework for recovery days, the kind that lets the reset continue long after you have left the studio.

What Is Next for Studio Sette
This is not the end of the story, either. Studio Sette has confirmed that new technology is arriving in the coming months, another Vancouver first for a studio that has made a habit of them. Subscribe to the mailing list and follow along on Instagram for launch details, because you will want to be first through the door.
So if puffiness, brain fog, or a sluggish system have been quietly running the show, consider this your sign. Book the Reset, book the Recover, or book both, and let your lymphatic system finally get the attention it has been asking for all along.
Until next time, beauties, stay radiant.
