In the world of bespoke tailoring, partnerships are not formed lightly. They are built on trust, alignment, and an unspoken understanding of tradition, restraint, and presence. With the appointment of Angelo Agalou as its global brand ambassador, The Sartorial Shop signals a confident and considered step forward, one grounded in authenticity rather than spectacle.
A Canadian-born actor and model of Greek heritage, Agalou has distinguished himself through a commanding on-camera presence that feels instinctive rather than performative. His career began with an award-nominated campaign for Tameco, revealing a natural ease in front of the lens and a refined sense of self. Watching him today, it would be easy to assume he has spent a lifetime in fashion and film. His presence is assured, disciplined, and quietly compelling, qualities that mirror the values long upheld by The Sartorial Shop.
“Angelo embodies everything our brand represents,” says Zahir Rajani, Creative Director and Co-Founder of The Sartorial Shop. “His journey, his discipline, and the care he brings to his craft reflect the same standards we uphold in our garments. This partnership was a natural progression.”
As global brand ambassador, Agalou will represent the atelier across international campaigns, editorial features, and global initiatives, helping articulate a vision of modern luxury defined by restraint, integrity, and uncompromising craftsmanship.

A Role Rooted in Values, Not Visibility
For Agalou, the role extends well beyond wearing impeccably tailored garments. It is about communicating a philosophy of style that is deliberate, personal, and enduring.
“I view The Sartorial Shop as an embodiment of the modern gentleman, where refinement extends far beyond what one wears,” he explains. “To me, true style is inseparable from character. It is reflected in how you carry yourself, how you engage with others, and the standards you hold yourself to in every setting.”
He speaks of tailoring as something transformative rather than decorative. “Exceptional tailoring does more than perfect the silhouette; it instills a sense of confidence, intention, and self-assurance that naturally carries into every aspect of life,” Agalou says. “The Sartorial Shop represents a return to investing in pieces that are personal, purposeful, and enduring.”
That shared philosophy made the partnership feel effortless. “My partnership with Zahir, Anastasia, and the atelier itself came together effortlessly, as we share a common vision that is both international in scope and rooted in timeless principles,” he adds. “I’m genuinely excited to contribute to what lies ahead and to help tell a story that is as considered as the garments themselves.”

Style Informed by Presence, Craft, and Experience
As both an actor and a model, Agalou’s approach to style is deeply tied to presence and lived experience. When asked about his influences, he points to figures who embody intention as much as aesthetics.
“Actors that inspire me in terms of style, acting, and overall presence would be Theo James, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Jon Hamm,” he shares. Theo James, particularly in The Gentlemen, represents a modern European confidence that is sharp and tailored. Daniel Day-Lewis stands apart for his devotion to workmanship, famously traveling to Florence to learn shoemaking firsthand from master cobblers Mario Bemer. Jon Hamm, meanwhile, brings a classic American structure and authority that feels enduring rather than dated.
“My own style draws from all three and is more restrained and personal,” Agalou explains. “I gravitate toward clean, European-cut, properly tailored suits that are understated rather than flashy.”
That perspective is shaped by contrast as much as inspiration. “Coming from a construction background, where most days were spent in workwear and getting my hands dirty, stepping into something made specifically for you feels transformative,” he says. “A tailored garment changes how you stand, move, and carry yourself, and that appreciation for craftsmanship defines my approach to style.”
This respect for process and precision aligns seamlessly with The Sartorial Shop’s design language, where proportion, balance, and fit quietly speak for themselves.

Honouring the Past, Translating It Forward
When asked to name his favourite era of men’s suiting, Agalou looks to a period where tailoring carried meaning.
“I’d look to the 1920s through the early 1960s,” he says, referencing figures such as Jack Dempsey, Max Baer, Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Alain Delon, and Steve McQueen. In that era, tailoring was inseparable from character, conveying authority, confidence, and presence without explanation.

“In my ambassadorial role with The Sartorial Shop, my goal is to help carry that spirit forward by honouring classic proportions, craftsmanship, and presence, while translating that timeless style into something modern, wearable, and relevant today,” Agalou explains.
A Relationship That Began at the Atelier
Notably, Agalou’s connection with The Sartorial Shop began not as a campaign, but as a client. Drawn to the atelier by its commitment to old-world tailoring and artisanal excellence, his first visit was in pursuit of custom Italian footwear handcrafted by Mario Bemer. That initial encounter sparked an immediate rapport rooted in a shared respect for heritage, precision, and authenticity.

In appointing Angelo Agalou as its global brand ambassador, The Sartorial Shop has chosen a representative who does not merely wear the garments, but lives the values behind them. It is a partnership shaped by intention, built on mutual respect, and reflective of a house that continues to define modern tailoring on its own terms.
