At the front of the hotel, guests are greeted by ‘Slow,’ a stainless steel sculpture depicting a baby panda bear strolling idly with its mother. Conceived and created by a renowned Chinese sculptor, painter and performance artist, Zhang Huan, the ‘Slow’ bears express love, eternity, family and connectivity.
Thought-provoking artwork is displayed throughout the DOUGLAS. It celebrates the distinctive personality of Vancouver, treating visitors to arresting representations of the West Coast’s history, beauty and nature.
