As 2024 draws to a close, we are honoured to share with you Folio.YVR Luxury Lifestyle Magazine‘s top Travel and Hospitality stories of the year—a celebration of the experiences that redefined luxury, discovery, and connection. These stories transport us to breathtaking destinations, innovative spaces, and extraordinary moments that exemplify the very best in global travel and hospitality.

This year, we were captivated by the elegance of the Rhône River aboard Riverside Luxury Cruises, where impeccable white-glove service and a truffle-hunting excursion at Ayme Truffe created memories to last a lifetime. We marvelled at the grandeur of Raffles London at The OWO, where a Spy Bar and the iconic Guerlain Spa added intrigue and rejuvenation to an already prestigious address.

Our journeys included local gems like
The DOUGLAS Autograph Collection in downtown Vancouver, merging nature with refined urbanity, and incredible skyline views.

The Rosewood Hotel Georgia, renowned as Vancouver’s most fashionable retreat, reopened following an extensive five-month renovation, unveiling reimagined culinary concepts alongside luxurious rooms and suites. Nestled in the storied space beneath the Rosewood, Prophecy seeks to captivate patrons with its blend of timeless sophistication and innovative flair.

Spirit Ridge Resort offers an exceptional Okanagan getaway that reflects the region’s rich Indigenous culture. This expansive property delights guests with amenities such as the Sonora Dunes Golf Course, Nk’Mip Cellars winery, a heated outdoor pool, and a relaxing hot tub, ensuring endless opportunities for leisure.

At Phantom Creek Estates and District Wine Village, we witnessed Canadian winemaking and innovation soar to new heights. From the shores of Osoyoos15 Park Bistro to the stunning waterfront vistas of Vancouver’s Five Sails Restaurant, the art of dining took centre stage.

Beyond the horizon, we explored Antigua’s promise with the upcoming Nikki Beach resort, shaped by the inspiring vision of Lucia Penrod and Canadian philanthropist Calvin Ayre. Their work not only envisions a luxurious future for this Caribbean paradise but also underscores the importance of community-focused initiatives that redefine sustainable tourism.

Each destination this year reminded us of the transformative power of travel, a theme that resonates deeply as we reflect on this remarkable year.

As we look ahead to 2025, we are filled with excitement for the adventures to come and the opportunity to inspire meaningful, ecoluxury journeys. Let us make this a year
of exploration, innovation, and unforgettable storytelling that celebrates both the beauty
of our planet and the importance of preserving it.

Thank you for being part of our journey. We invite you to join us as we continue to share the world’s most compelling stories while championing sustainability.

Here is to another year of wanderlust, wonder, and positive impact.
