Named after the port city of Haifa, this modern take on Middle Eastern food reflects the ethos of co-existence is mirrored in the ownership team, comprising partners from diverse backgrounds.
Originally starting as the Haifa Room in Toronto, friends and seasoned restaurateurs Fadi Hakim, Waseem Dabdoub, Mark Kupfert, Yossi Mizrachi Eastwood, and Daniel Suss embarked on a culinary journey to Vancouver. They aim to create a more elevated dining experience rooted in the cuisine from their childhood.

Heading the kitchen is Chef Jason Hemi, formerly sous chef at renowned Toronto establishments Rose and Sons and Fat Pasha. Chef Hemi brings his expertise to Bar Haifa, crafting dishes like his famous house hummus, loaded eggplant, and skewers.
